mkv sound issues

I found this on the DE forum.

If you are using the Dream Elite image and you don't get any audio from your.mkv files try installing the Beyonce 6 skin and reboot. It fixed it for me.:)

Thank you for that pointer BigMo, out of interest, what .mkv files have you played back, 720 or 1080? Also have they played back at the correct resolution? i.e. widescreen playing correctly and not stretched?

It's A Wonderful Life Colorized Version 1946 720p BluRay x264.

I d/loaded a few, then discovered my kiss 1600 wouldn't play them, so I deleted them.:( This was the only one I kept (by accident) cos SWMBO likes it. I had converted it to avi so she could watch it and forgot to delete the original file.:)

It played full screen on a 42 panasonic, and looked good, but I'll have to have another look to see if it was stretched.

Thanks for lettings us know, i'll grab a 720 mkv and it give it a try.

I've had a 720p mkv playing on my vuduo from my nas playing with no problem at all. Looks crisp and clear!
