Is it possible to stream the videos I have on my PC to my gigablue?

Yes: use the networkbrowser to set up a mount.

I use serviio (free) to do this, but would love Robin to expand on on "set up a mount". What does one mount ?

Via the networkbrowser you can see all the shares on your network. You can pick one, you Windos share, and mount it on your box.
From then on you can navigate in the movielist to that location and play files from your PC the same way as from the box's HDD.

I've shared a folder on my computer but I can't see it from the gigablue.

ye i tried doing it on my 800se and i carnt see my shares, iam unable to enable NAS in network options i have read a few tutorials and still no luck :s

i give up with networkbrowser and went with vlc, heres what i did

i got the pluggin from here h**p://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?16229-GB800-plugin-extensions-VlcPlayer

then got a old version of vlc 1.0.5 from h**p://www.oldapps.com/VLC_Player.php?old_vlc=49

workes like a treat played avi and mkv files oki

I followed this guide http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?15974-How-To-Setting-up-Windows-Network-Share and it works perfectly.
