Ok some more info I set VLC as my default media player, When I click on stream I get a message saying unable to open port :xxxx which is not the port I foward to log into the box do I need to foward this port aswell Thanks
Are you trying to stream across the WAN? If so I hope you have good upload bandwidth.
If i block windows media player in my firewall, i also get the same error message.
Try to turn your firewall off for a minute and try to stream again. If it work then you have to configure your firewall.
Ok I enabled the other port it now sreams well to windows media player, VLC does not seem to work ie it opens the stream ok but then shuts down after a few seconnds ? My only problem now is on HD channels I get the audio description (very annoying) although this does not happen when I watch HD channels on the VU+ any ideas cant seem to find a setting to change in media player to select the audio source.
