help on setting up unsubscribed sky card for freesat

hi i have been looking at the threads but they all seem a couple of years old.

I want to use my white unsubscribed card to receive the free sky channels (channel 5HD) running Vix 3.0 374,

Did have it running but decided to do a fresh install today and the file i thought worked doesn't

So can anyone help with an idiots guide on how to do this

Usually i do but decided to format the usb drive and start everything fresh :o

Tried enigma2-plugin-cams-oscam_1.20.r8625_mipsel and created a blank CCam file but it still wont clear oscam running at start up and have rebooted the box.

Oscam doesn't use CCcam.cfg you need CCcam for that

Follow this guide, you will need to create a CFG file and do that using notepad+++

Okay i must be really thick i have tried

enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.3.0_1.0_mipsel
enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel
enigma2-plugin-cams-oscam_1.20.r8625_mipsel

and created a blank CCcam.cfg file which i ftp to etc rebooted each time and still get nothing, this is my card and i don't have a sly box any more (believe that i don't need anything other than a blank .cfg ) to get this working

Don't you need to have a boxkey in CCcam.cfg to clear the FTV channels, channel 5HD etc?? I may be wrong.

Should look something like this

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 3570000

Just seen you said you do not have a sly box?
So the only way I can suggest you get a boxkey is by pairing it to a friends box or something. Hope this helps

I thought so but was not 100% sure, I like my sports so have always used a box key.

Carnt understand why he can not get the FTV channels to clear then ??

So pairing with a friends box and leave it in for a day or two should solve the problem.

No need to pair, just leave in official receiver and entitlements will renew.

Okay had it in parents standard box for a day on sly one and nothiong has changed comes up on a banner on the sly box that this card is not paired with this box (or something to that effect).

So would this be because it wasnt an Hd box or something else

I think you have to ring them up to get it paired, but as suggested above it don't need to be paired to update the entitlements, just leave the card in for a few days and they should update.
