Following the statement that support of this box had ceased (can't find the post now), has the kernel problem been fixed?

Yes all problems have been fixed and TM finally supplied VIX with the updated kernel/drivers it needed.

Support had never ceased, we were just waiting a looong time for kernel & driver updates.
And yes, most of the utstanding issues have been fixed.
Make a settings back up & grab the latest version from http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php?dir=TM-2T/ currently build 740.
Flash that & restore settings & all should be fine...

as judge says support never ceased but we felt that we had to make a statement about the state of the drivers at that time, those issues have now largely been resolved and once more the TM-OE brand is up there with the Vu+ ( in my opinion ).
