MiniTV is quite surprising. It puts the TV picture on the LCD of the receiver.

Thanks for posting this, I wish they would just get the transcoding sorted.

Transcoding will make the box a serious competitor to VU+ I can't see the point of mini tv it's just a gimmick that would never use!

What's the real use of this miniTv? Can it play (useless, altough) another channel while watching one? Like a supersmall Pip?

I have my TV and box about 4 meters from my sofa... I doubt I can see something in that small screen...

Just a thought but with a screen that small is the box re-coding the stream to fit the resolution of the LCD, perhaps this is stage towards transcoding??

Agreed, though useless it would look cool :p at this tile I don't know how to get it to work on VIX.

I see in build 739 of vix the drivers have enabled LED control for every state the box is in.

For example standby, on and record. You can choose a colour for each state and enable blinking for when the box is recording which is a little distracting lol

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, I don't seem to have sound when playing back media files (regardless of format!)
Stuff recorded plays back OK.

Will the drivers be in the next update ? or is this a manual install ?

How do we control the led on the front panel the blinking led when recording is blinking annoying :)

No not PIP but the mini screen on the front of the gigable quad can display the tv picture

These drivers were withdrawn as they broke web streaming functionality which is far more important than mini LCD gimmicks.

The suggestion is the devs will release a newer, less buggy driver next week. We'll see.
