I'm on Virgin Media in the UK and am having serious issues which appear to have got worse recently. There has been a local issue with internet, pages loading slowly but all else was fine. But now I can't run an opkg update command - it permanently times out. When I ping or tracert the IP, all appears fine, nice low ping and tracert completes. My Duo is attached to the hub with a ethernet cable (I also had it on home plugs). Nothing updates and no commands performed on the box itself don't work - I can't install any plugins.

Here's the output from Telnet:

root@vuduo:~# opkg update

Can anyone else get this working -- more so if you're on Virgin Media or is it just a local issue for me? Currently my box is non-updatable because of this.

There is another user on the forum also using Virgin media as his provider who has recently run into a very similar issue where his receiver can not connect at all to our servers for updates or plugins etc.

I've just reflashed my Duo and all appears fine now - during my issues with VM I often had to control-c mid way through opkg commands as they failed and likely started corrupting things. Just odd how it all became so screwed up.

Many thanks.

Actually found what it was! I had set DHCP to disable so I could assign a static IP. The fantastic equipment supplied by VM didn't like that for whatever reason. With DHCP enabled (on the Duo) all opkg commands work flawlessly!

hi

I have vm and dchp disabled and not had any connection problems are these related to superhub 2 models?
