Really fed up with external memory

I have a XP1000 mas digital, and looking to add a external hard drive. can anyone advise on the best one to buy. i tried using my 120gb usb stick (FAT32) but the digi box doesn't Recognize it. i know that the box only using FAT32 format.

what i really what to know, on ebay you can buy FAT32 external hard drive, this these work on xp1000.

For recording purposes you should format / initialise the device through the image it self into a ext 3 / ext 4 format. fat 32 just wont cut it especially if recording HD channels as it has a 4GB file size limit.
