Blind scan is in the Vix feeds but I get errors when attempting to download. Does blind scan work in OpenVix or is it still being developed?

Hi,
my last Info is 4 month old and VU+ had to ask Broadcom if it is possible at all.

ciao

From next build on (i.e. 731) blindscan will be pre-installed on the Solo2.

Background: when we discovered (months ago) that the Solo2 didn't support blindscan, we decided to leave out the blindscan plugin. VU+ told us to look into this (driver related) issue.
As we're not 100% sure atm if blindscan is actually supported, we decided to embed the plugin again, so we can all try and see.

The Solo2 still doesn't support blindscan. As this is a driver issue there is nothing we can do about it. We asked VU+ (again) about it, but got no reply at all.

I should have reported this earlier, sorry about that.

Yes, the Solo2 does support blindscan (and does a better (although slower) job than any other VU-box).

ViX does not need a plugin for blindscan, receivers that support blindscan have the functionality built rite into the image it self.

thank you for the reply. would someone kindly explain to me how i scan for a feed using vix 3.0 build 808 on a solo2 without a blindscan. using this as an example:

Intelsat 905 (24.5°W)
Fréquence: 11047 - Pol: H - SR: 13330 - FEC: -
Catégorie: Sport - Courses auto/moto
Transmis en: MPEG-4

Thanks

If you wish to use blindscan with this receiver you need a newer more up to date image.

ViX works well with blindscan for the solo2 but it needs a newer image than the one you have quoted in your post with newer drivers etc, ViX 3.0 is simply too old a image for this to work, the same is true of all images, you need one that is upto date with current drivers not a old image.

im running appollo3

why does the solo2 only allow me to enter between 3000 and 4199 Mhz (c-band) on the blind scan screen for 10E in the "scan start frequency" and "scan stop frequency" ?

i want to scan 11296 V 14400 on 10E

thanks
