Hi

I have no sound on my recordings, on demand or tsmedia. Does anyone know whats causing this?

How is sound connected? And to what (TV/Amp)?
Does activating downmix help?

sound from streaming is sometimes missing on my Box to but a full reboot normally fixed it.

OK, that looks like the driver issue that is known on all VU+-boxes from day 1 then ....

I am having the same problem with both live channels and media files.

It only happens with MPEG audio tracks. AC3 are fine. Basically happens with all SD channels because they use MPEG audio. My HD channels have AC3 as an option and are okay. Same with media files.

This happened after I upgraded to 729. New drivers dated 19-08-2012 were bundled with this update.

Would re-flashing the box with 729 resolve this?

Not sure, but a flash never hurts (make a backup first and restore later).

Rob, re-flash worked, but I could not use the backup, the problem came back after the restore. Had to set up from scratch. All fine now.

Hi

Slightly off topic i know but related all the same, any news when build 730 will be available with the updated driver fix I would have thought to evade more users moaning of loss of sound and black screen this build upgrade would have been put forward without any other build updates just to get vu receivers back on beam.

This was happening on my solo 2.

But the all of a sudden the reboot stopped working, and I ended up having to fresh flash to fix, now after watching a few movies on ts media it happend again, but a reboot fixed... Strange eh?? 😯
