My screen goes blank intermittently for no apparent reason , signal at about 54% why does this happen?

You signal quality is very low.

There are a few factors, my thought is dish alignment. See if you can improve signal quality first. You can rule this theory out my using another receiver or using this receiver at another place.

I have a motorised dish. Is a cheap sat finder easy to use?
It worked fine elsewhere so it may be the alignment

There is a satfinder application in the image. If you have an android phone, enigma signal meter is a good app.
