Manually installing drivers help

I would like to update both my duo's to latest vix.I'm currently on build 720. But I do not want the latest drivers (they have issues with display quality) I am happy keeping the 31-7-2013 drivers that are currently on build 720.

How would I do this?

I am not at box but have a look for .ko extension in the folder /lib/modules/3.1.1/extra/ via FTP and save it to your pc. Then update as normal before using it from PC back to original location to overwrite newer drivers and reboot. Also read somewhere that the drivers are available on the site in DL section.

yeah that's pretty much it.

Update the image as normal then FTP into /lib/modules/3.1.1/extra/ and overwrite the files there with the ones you want to use from here.

http://archive.vuplus.com/download/drivers/ ( you will need to use something like 7zip to extract the drivers from the .tar files ).

Once you have overwritten the files reboot the receiver.

personally i have no issues with the latest drivers but i have not done much in the way of testing, just watched some TV / recordings as and when i could.
