so ive just ordered a solo2, and now im worried.
almost all the normal priced internal 2.5" hard drives are 5400rpm.

i ran my vu duo with a 7200rpm samsung drive.

is this going to be an issue? will the slower drive spin mean glitches in recording, or doing dual recordings on different channels, or say fast forward through a recorded program whilst recording a program at the same time.
is the 5400rpm spin speed enough?

thanks

5400RPM is fine, all my receivers use 2.5" 5400RPM, even if they're cradles allow use of a 3.5" HDD. Less noise, less heat :)

5400 RPM drives are perfectly capanle of handling more than 10 simultanous (HD)-recordings/playback.

Drives in an STB don't need to be fast; unlike for a PC only constant streams of data have to be handled.
