looked everywhere to solve this problem, I can`t ftp to the box without it, any help is appreciated

I`m setting up a box for a mate, and trying to ftp files across, funny thing is I got the brand new box today plugged it in and DCC did what it should do, I then put in a brand new hard drive initialised it no problem but DCC says telnet not connected bootmanager is missing now, I`ve now swapped back to my box as I`m going to work, tried DCC with mine and no problem, so the telnet is not connecting to enigma 2, baffling to me :confused:
