standby and deep standby

standby and deep standby what's the difference? and will it come out of deep to record? thanks

In standby the box is completely active; only the audio- and video outputs are switched off. Depending on circumstances power-consumption will be around 25W.

In deep sleep the box is completely off (except for an IR-receiver and the RTC) and power-consumption will be around 0.5W.

Will auto updates also happen when In deep standby mode. e.g epg daily update?

No the box wont wake from deepstandby for EPG / ABM updates. you can set the box to wake at a set time and go back into deepstandby at a set time using the power timers option.
