i am trying to install a new skin on my vix 683 it downloads then says it installs but then i get
cp: can't stat '/temp/runningtext.py': no such file or directory
collected errors
pkg_run_script: package 'matrixhd-components" preinst script returned status 1.
preinst_configure; aborting installation of matrixhd-components
opkg_install_cmd; cannot install package enigma2-plugin-skins-matrixhd
execution finished!


any help much apreciated thanks..........

BTW AM ON 683 COS ITS THE MOST STABLE ALL THE OTHERS GLITCH CONSTANTLY THANKS

That's because you're using a rather old image that doesn't yet support the running text.
Please update to build 720 and try again.

i will when 720 is glitch free thanks am happy to use default skin for now

You could also use the drivers from build 683 on a current build.
Just make a backup of /lib/modules/3.5.3/extra/bcmlinuxdvb.ko & restore it after updating.
