Pause Live TV but not rewind

I seem to have an issue with timeshift

i can pause live tv and resume but when i try to rewind live tv using timeshift it doesnt work.
nothing happens apart from a i get a circle with a diagonal line through it in the top right corner of the screen.

also when i resume live tv when its paused i get the option to save as a timeshift move etc.

i'm running vix v3.0

and i have checked that the timeshift settings are correct

any ideas?

Sounds like permanent time shift is not enabled. So channel does not record when you tune the station - it only starts recording when you pause. You can enable it through the menu but can't remember the path - not at box.

make sure you have Timeshift autostart set.

I checked all the settings before in the timeshift settings page and everything is enabled

Not sure if there are any other settings in another menu
any ideas

Start up delay is set to what?

It was set to disable. Changed it to 2 seconds and it now works. Thanks for your help
