plugin problem

my plugins havent worked on my vu+ duo since i bought it.the supplier that i bought the box from emailed me the tsmedia file that i wanted.I downloaded it and ftp that file into the tmp folder on my vu+.then thru vix,i tried to install the plugin.but everytime i try to install it it says excessively long line in 9.corrupt file?im a newbie at this so could someone elp me with it

we need a little more info from you, for starters what exact image and build are you on ?.

Thats a very old and no longer supported image, any particular reason that your using such a old image ?.

when i bought the box.thats the image that was on it.what do i do now

I'd personally try updating the image to a more modern one or better still ask the seller why it shipped with such a old image, maybe it's just me but for a new receiver to ship with such a old image makes me think it's possibly a clone.

How long ago did you buy the receiver ?.

backup your existing image first just incase

If your receiver is an original vu+ then once you have updated the software then go to plugins and download tsmedia from the online plugins that way you cant go wrong.
