harddrive standby

if I turn on harddrive standby,does this spin down the harddrive,and if so if I have time record will harddrive spin up again to record?:confused:thanks thomas

Your question is basically "Will the receiver record something when in standby mode?"

For receivers in general, in deepstandby the answer is no. In normal standy, yes it will record. Bear in mind that the drivers (as supplied by TM) will affect this feature. Have a read of the various recording issues threads.

The TM-2T records just fine from deep standby as do all of my Vu+ receivers, not sure about the TM-Twin though
