Well Im in satellite heaven now. VIX 1.1 running superbly and now I have my favourite skin back again.

I have been playing about with the skin now for a good hour and have had no green screens from any combo of button pushes, so I think it seems to run good on the VIX image. Only things I have noticed is that it displays "no detected softcam" even when I have CCcam running but this may be to do with CCcam rather than the skin, Also the day and month appears in Russian no matter what language is selected.

I picked it up on a very similar named forum as here;) , listed as modded for latest vti image.

I would have uploaded the zipfile but there may be a copyright issue so thought better not to do so.

But it aint too hard to find.

Yeah thats the one I used. I unzipped it and manually FTPd over the contents and set the Attributes to 755.

This is almost identical to the Blue_Shadow skin posted somewhere on this forum the only difference i can see is the picture preview which blue shadow does not have.

the alternative is to load each part into the respective folder...when you open the file you will see two parts and then keep going into each and then load the contents on by ftp to each similar part on your box....if that makes any sense....then reboot

Theres more than one lib folder and share folder - at least when you connect with DCC anyway and if you get it wrong it will screw up the box - I talk from experience on DE:lol3::nono:

Best thing to do before you do anything is to back up the image and the vix does this in 17 seconds - did it last night, in DE it took 40 minutes so congratz to AndyB for a super fast back up:D

I try in a VU+ SOLO with the last VTI image and I get a green panel and the box restarted, i put it in temp and then manual install

I just ftped the entire usr folder of the Army ghost skin to replace the usr folder in box and everything works fine with all my old skins in VIX image still intact. Just that easy.

Yes I have tired the blue shadow. Its a nice skin almost like army ghost but without the PIG (small tv screen) on channel list. I love the PIG.

In my USR there are other folders not listed in the ghost folder, surely if you|FTP it it will overwrite the old folder?

Yes it will overwrite the older folder but for some strange but pleasant reason your older files will still be there in addition to the newer ones from
the army ghost skin and all your former skins will still be there. After overwriting just restart gui and go to skins and select army ghost and it will
work without hitch. Just try it, it works and safely too. I have been using for the past two days without any probs.

very nice skin, just a small niggle, day and month are not in english, looks russian or greek, any skinner out there offer a repair to this issue.

I've noticed the ghost HD on VIX repository does not download. it says file not found cannont download. also off topic but same issue for DVD Backup

You don't need to install via telnet, just ftp entire usr folder to overwrite usr folder in vuplus and restart gui
and you will find ghost hd listed amongst your skins. Then you can select it and restart gui again to change skin.

if it is an ipk file ftp to tmp folder then telnet - ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk and it will install.
if it is a folder and not ipk just ftp files into matching folders

thanks chris i know the ipk way this is a tar.gz but i managedto do it by unzipping and ftp but to post here any one who knows is still a good idea as it would help others

Is there a way to avoid/delete the picture preview in the head menu for this image? Or maybe change the picture as I don't like the pictures used in the army ghosthd
