View Full Version : where's deep sleep on vix
Hi Just wondered how to put a twin into deep sleep with the latest fix
Robert
Menu> standby / restart> shutdown.
Thanks mate looked at that but didn't believe it was that simple, so what the difference between that and standby other than the boot up time
Thanks
Robert

Standby is basically 'all is on, except video & audio outputs'; powerconsumption will be around 25W.
Deep sleep (or shut down) means all is off, except for the RTC to wake the box for recordings and the IR-receiver to wake the box via the R/C. Powerconsumption will be < 1W.
has the deep sleep on tm twin-oe vix being fix ?
that is great if so
i will give it a try today

will wake up to do recording
will wake up to do recording
I'm not sure if it does to be honest even with the upgraded front panel chip that corrected the problem of the power button on the front of the receiver acting like a physical on / off switch which killed power instead of putting it into standby.

????
I presume you mean 'will a timer wake up the box from deep sleep'?
It should. Best way to find out is to try.
