EPG populating issue?

Hi All,

I have recently updated to new builds 708,710,712 since doing so EPG not populating properly i.e about three quarters of EPG blank until i select each and every individual bar one by one only then channel plus info comes up. Also when i down arrow same issue pages of numbers with no channel prog and prog info.

I have ran complete fresh scan then ABM reboot unit reboot enigma still no channel info etc etc.

Any ideas folks...

How have you set up your EPG & what providers are you using?

Is it ok to talk about Providers?

EPG to media/hdd have i done that wrong mate, Open tv 28.2e

It's fine to talk about providers and EPG.

Try deleting the downloaded file and download again.

It's a weird one guys as my other boxes on same build and skins etc are working great.

Providers i have selected is Sky_Scotland.

Do i need to run a Crossepg download scan and an ABM scan?

no after delelting the EPG file just run CEPG download

need to use something like filezilla to connect to the box, if your not sure how to do this click on the tutorial link in my signature and it will take you to the tut on how to do this.

Location wise, it will be were you specified it in the configuration menu, mine I save to USB.

Yeah I've used Filezilla for ftp'ing picons etc..
Once i delete it how/where do i find EPG File again to download back into box..

You won't find it again until you download it again from EPG settings or via plugin menu and CEPG

Update on EPG populating...CEPG fixed programme and channel info.

I have had an issue with channels that have recently changed freq - SkySportsNewsHD, ESPN HD, Discovery HD
The XMLTV EPG importer doesn't populate them. I can do it manually with CEPG, but doesn't work on scheduled CEPG or XML importer.
(There was also no picons for them in ocram packages, but I linked them myself and submitted them to the git repo for ocram picons)

Also using ABM set to Scotland. Also been having problems with STV Now & next not working in infobar, but being ok in epg.

These channels have recently changes frequencies and rytec.channels.xml probably has not been updated yet because the person who maintains the file is probably not aware of the changes.

Who isthe maintainer, the upstream rytec maintainers at openpli say they have adjusted their files, but even after multiple updates here on vix, it is still not populating. Who do i submit a request to?
