Selective ViX Update

Is there a way to do a selective update of only some packages on the Vu Duo running ViX? I'm running an alpha version of a plugin but when running update it gets reverted back to the older version from the feeds.

not that i can think of although i'm likely wrong.

as for the plugin it would help if you could tell us which one it is and for the record you cant really get any older than a alpha piece of software ( alpha comes before beta ).

Nope, there's not. Best way would be not to install that plugin, but just FTP the files to the box. That way OPKG doesn't know of it being present and won't install versions from the feeds.
Otherwise: de-install before updating and re-install after the update.
