I was wondering that myself about wifi.

Do you need to install drivers from the feeds first to get it to show up?

The drivers for the inbuilt wifi card in the Duo2 are pre-built into the image by default so you dont need to worry about that.

Thanks Phoenix.

I didn't see any mention of wifi setup in any of the menus though. Where are they tucked away? Build 709 BTW.

Yes - but there must be somewhere to set up your ip address, security etc.

update to build 710 for the integrated wifi
No need; the embedded WiFi of the DUO2 has been supported by pre-installed drivers from the first released image.

If WiFi doesn't show up, it looks like your box has a fault. You could install OI or VTi to check that.

OI is here:

http://code.vuplus.com:8080/fileDownload.action?basePath=%2Fopt%2Fdownloads%2F 2.1%2Fduo2&fileName=vuplus-image-vuduo2-20130731183407_usb.zip

VTi is here:

http://www.vuplus-support.org/wbb3/index.php?page=DatabaseItem&id=405

You don't need to set up the complete system; just skip the first install wizard, go to network --> device and see if WiFi is there.
If it isn't on all of those images, you can be sure your box has a problem.

Hi guys.

I had a similar issue.

My problem arose when using the network wizard. It doesn't seem to save all the settings correctly.

I solved it by going into SETUP-NETWORK-DEVICE SETUP-WLAN CONNECTION-ADAPTER SETTINGS. I entered my encryption key on this page and saved the settings. Restarted my box and then tried the network test.

Everything was OK then.

IP and nameserver show up as 'green'

Issue should be fixed in 721.

It's ok as I've gone back to Wired. So no big issue.

If you do an online update you'll see 721 to be available.

Log onto your router config page and see if its been assigned an ip address if it is try changing ch number of wireless on router (test ch's 1, 6 and 11)

I had WiFi working fine but then started getting isues with DCC saying about Error 10037. Have the IP addresses of devices set correctly, tried static and dynamic. Will try again later, might need to reflash it perhaps.

mine is the same,
only wep and disabled protection works on mine.

All WPA encryptions do not work :-( and have not since getting box.

My next thing to try is to swap the router at home with a spare I have.

It's a shame because I prefer vix user friendly image, I still use it with the duo. For the duo2 wifi works on the BH image leads me to believe that it a driver issue between vix and my router. Zoro25 please reply if changing your router sets the wifi. Also for security reason I wouldn't use wep or go unencrypted.

Ok got mine working,

Funny thing was I did nothing different, except flash new image without using a backup. But of a pain but not big shakes, I now have WIFI with WPA-2 working on the DUO2 :-)

Great parma sorry for the delayed response,
Mine is latest build by the way, I think there was an error in earlier builds that doesn't get fixed just by doing normal upgrade.
