Guys,

Wondered if anyone technical out there could help.

I've purchased a new Samsung Smart Tv F8000.

My Vu+ Duo is plugged into the HDMI1 slot and everything works perfectly.

When I try to set up the 'On Tv' settings I input my postcode and thats when things dont go as planned.

It asks what my service provider is :

Sky Digital BBC London/ ITV London
Sky Digital BBC South East /ITV Meridian
Virgin Media
My providers not here

So I choose 'My providers not here' and then it states my provider doesn't support On TV
If I choose Sky Digital it states I need a IR reciever.

Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong or if there is a solution....or just if The Vu+ is not supoported ?????

Thanks for taking the time to read this problem !!

Cheers
Scott

Hi mate

This tv comes with freeview and freesat so is this a app feature your trying to setup ?
You can of course use the plugin on the vu+ on demand that gives u bbc i player itv player etc
From what you say it looks like it needs to be connected to a sky receiver to enable it to work or a vm stb

+1 on this.
The Demand TV plugin is close to useless due to 4OD and demand 5 not working.

The OnDemand plugin with 4OD and Demand 5 are due to changes made by providers, presumably due to licence restrictions made by certain manufacturers & $$$ being paid.
If they are advertised as working on your TV but don't, I'd contact the TV supplier.

As for the OnDemand plugin, it's a few folks doing their best to make them work again.
Nothing promised but maybe will work again one day.
