Hi guys, has anyone tried installing a 2.5 inch hard drive, i just ordered a VU ad have a spare 2.5 inch drive any advice would be appreciated

it should work but u need to manage the fixation and connections

Yeah, slap it in - it will be fine. Transfer rates won't be as high as a 3.5" drive but will be plenty fast enough for this application. Plus you will benefit from reduced noise and heat production. :D

Just be carefull how you mount it, you need to find some rubber to put between the HDD and the metal HDD cradle.

They wont work with the Duo cradle. The fixings on the adapter are for side fixing, the Duo cradle uses underside fixing.

up and running had to delete partittions on drive, stuck disc down with sticky pads, glad i went with 2.5 inch its virtually silent thanks again
