now this is just somewhat of an irritation but at times (and not all that often) I find that TV goes black for a while and then program returns a few seconds later. This is on all channels be it FTA or subscribed. Its no big deal but always wondered is it the fault of my TV or is the the DUO tuner. My opinion is that it must be the tuner but would like to hear if others have had similar issue with the duo

This is not a common problem.
Do you use an HDMI-connection? you might try another cable/TV-input/disable HDMI-CEC/HDMI-EDID-Check-->Off.

yes it is hdmi cable. have used hdmi cec in the past but not to my liking so is disabled. hdmi edid have no idea what that is or in what menu this is enabled or disabled
