Reading the thread about software to speed up your PC reminded me about Ninite. It's a website where you can configure you're own personalised freeware installer to download and install things like web browsers, media players, utilities, etc.
The clever thing is that it automatically unticks the box so that the like tool bars and promotional products aren't installed on the PC and, if you run the tool again at a later date it only downloads and installs updates. It also means that, if you need to rebuild your PC, one click and all of your favourite apps are reinstalled.
