On my vu+ the lcd display used to show what channel i was watching, now it just display vuduo-3.0.683-20, have i pressed something on the remote, or changed a setting? How do i get it back to showing what channel i'm on. Running latest vix image.

Backup you'r existing settings using the backup manager then do a fresh flash to build 688 and check if the VFD is still as you describe, if it is do another reflash but this time do not restore the settings backup, also try a online update to build 690 see if that helps.

we really have no idea of how or why your VFD is as you describe unless you can provide that information.

Hi,
look into /etc/enigma2 if there is a skin_user.xml if yes rename or delete it.

ciao

I have no skin_user.xml file in that folder. I think if there was enough room on the display it would read vuduo-3.0.683-2013-07-05 etc etc, essentially the name of the last back-up i took to the hdd. Will try reflashing it when i get a min. it doesn't affect the usuability of the box in anyway just annoying showing that.

I have fixed it by turning the box off and on again. Shouldve known as i work in IT. Sorry to waste your time.
