Looks like an interesting Enigma2 receiver...

According to the OSCAM changelog, this is the first ARM based Enigma2 receiver...

Is this something that the ViX team would be interested in porting their image over to?

I doubt there would ever be a ViX image image for that plarform in the same way as there will never be a ViX image for a alien branded receiver.

That said any decision on what to support or not would be down to andy and sic amd not me.

Theres a number of Arm based receivers in the pipeline, only time will tell. If E2 is hacked to run on Arm cpu, then I very much doubt it.

Well a quick google showed an openpli image for this box.
Obviously no idea how good the box may or may not be, but at least would be supoorting one of the few British companies .. Arm

And another quick Google search showed that PLi stated they do not provide firmware for the box... It may well just be a PLi derived firmware, that might contain lots of hacks etc...

In order for us or any other E2 image to offer support, the manufacturers would have to supply a lot of work on drivers etc as E2 is only really written for the mips architecture.

Most of these boxes that are running other hardware that is not really up to running enigma. They struggle with hacked enigma. I thought I would try the alien 2 HD to see what it was like. What a pile of sh*t. After 6 months of trying every image going it still does not work properly. I for one will never ever buy a cheap box like it again. I will only buy something that has proper enigma 2 support. When you have an image that is as nice as vix and works so well it would be madness to try and make it work with inferior hardware that ends up in a mess.

you pretty much summed up every reason why we have not supported none broadcopm based hardware as it's just not up to running enigma.
