VU+ duo crashes when using mediaplayer from networked drive trying to play any video file, video file play from internal drive ok

Reading the log this is most likely a driver issue.

How is the network drive mounted?

the HDD is on a win7 64 bit machine, it is mount thru the mount manager as cifs

How long ago since you flashed the box?

very long time, maybe time to a new flash me thinks & restore settings from backup

reflashed the image now all's working fine
strangley had to redo sundtek usb tuner drivers & reset up multiquick button

Good to hear. Sometimes a flash is the simple answer.

In this case it would be wise to delete the mount, and to make the mount again. In newer images mounts are made with different settings.
