Treiber Quad Kernel 3.3.6 vom 21.6.2013
In English "Drivers Quad kernel 3.3.6 from 21/06/2013"

So far they haven't appeared on their site as yet.

http://archiv.openmips.com/

Hopefully they will fix the various problems like PiP etc

Changelog:
- fixed pip
- fixed video_event
- fixed ci bugs
- added dvbs2 pnp tuner

Apparently the system load bug is fixed. So CPU should be freed up.

I can confirm that the new drivers fix the loading issue on the CPU :)

FWIW I also see ~1% CPU utilization whilst watching a HD channel

Apparently the driver is was withdrawn briefly this evening and so it may be worth re-downloading.

A guy using the ID PAPI2000 has posted that the PIP & Videomode are now restored to the same level of functionality as the driver for 3.5.1. That is, that they are working okay, but do have bugs within the feature set.

He also reports that the led flashes purple (blue/red) when recording, the same as when you flash the OS. In general he thinks it is a decent, stabile release (finally!).

Contrary to this another poster claims blindscan is now broken

That would be a normal value, as all is done in hardware.

So are the drivers worth updating ?, or wait for next release

Well, as they have been withdrawn I'mm pretty sure there is a good reason for that.

Patience is beautiful .... and necessary

Drivers are back as beta. Downloaed and installed. PNP is fixed, thats the only difference i can see:)

I presume when I update vix, it won't overwrite driver. Also in information on vix is still shows drivers 2013-06-03

When you update ViX, you will also be using the drivers included in the update.
Once it's seen fit to include new drivers in the image, they'll be included.

Also, driver date in the information screen is hardcoded, if you update the drivers yourself, the change won't be reflected here.
