Flash expander

Hi, I have just installed flash expander but I can't get it to work . It says please first initialized! So I go into hard disk and press on initialisasion then restart my box but still doesn't work , any help please

FlashExpander is for expert users only. And then only for boxes with a VERY small amount of flash (only some DreamBoxes really).
Why would you want to use it?

Try setting it up on a USB stick, I tried it on my dreambox and it works fine.

Once setup make sure the stick is always connected.
And make a backup before you use FlashExpander: once installed the only way back is to flash the box.

What should the USB be formatted to? I have tried ext3 (which I understand to be correct) but the box won't reboot if the USB pen is connected.

Did you let the box format the stick? If not: please do so.

No but I'll try that when I get home from work tonight. Just to confirm ext3 is the correct format?

The box will format it to Ext4 and as far as I know that's fine.
