Is it possible to upload a channel list via USB stick?

I loaded a channel list on to my mates box about 4-months ago but he needs an update and is a complete newbie when it comes to all things satellite. SO - is it possible for me to compose a channel list and then stick on USB for him to simply upload? Or must it be done via dreambox edit?
He only has a imac too so would this be a problem also to install dreambox edit on imac OS?

If he is on vix get him to set up ABM (auto bouquet maker) assuming he only wants sky channels then he will never have to update.

otherwise a channel editor is your only option

if the channel list was compiled into a .ipk file then yes you could install it directly from a USB stick, but try setting up ABM first as thats fully automated.
