Vix has its own player, why you want vlc

Sorry mate no.. the box is quite fussy on the movie coding. recode your movie and try again or use a plugin like TSMedia for your movies

It's not that it's fussy it's that media playback is handled via hardware and not software so you have a very limited set of parameters for files that will play and those that wont.
