How to multiboot with images by SDG image downloader Vu+

with SDG image downloader Vu+ and Barryallen or Μeoboot you can have any image there this time for Vu + receivers
without using a usb stick or pc!!!

the plugin is not only for multiboot you can be use it for simply downloading images .zip or .nfi format to your hard disk or usb


let's see how to use SDG image downloader Vu+ :


1. here is the list of all Team images

2. with ok button we see folders with all Vu+ models again with ok button we see the newest images available from Team

3. again, with ok we select the image that we want to download

4. in this step with yellow button we choose where we want to send the image , we can fix it where we want to send it ,we will see after who folder we choose for any multiboot plugin

5. pressing ok on Start Download starts downloading the image while we watch our favorite program

Installation downloaded image with Barryallen

1. if we use Barryallen us multiboot plugin in step 4 of SDG image downloader Vu+ we choose backup folder created from Barryallen we choose (not open) the folder f.e. media/hdd/backup

2. after finish download image we are going to Barryallen menu / Wizard for images at backup

3. we see our downloaded image ,we give final name and we extract it

4.when finish extract we can see our image in installed images list

Installation downloaded image with Meoboot


1.if we use Meoboot us multiboot plugin in step 4 of SDG image downloader Vu+ we choose (not open) the folder "Mbootupload" f.e. media/usb/Mbootupload with green button we save

2.Ιn meoboot menu with red button we choose downloaded image and again with red button we install the image

do not forget to reduce the size of the name of the image using the buttons "<" ">"

Be aware that a multiboot environment can be very unstable.
As a result of the numerous unexplainable errors that can come from this, we as ViX-team will not support users who have their box set up as multiboot.

And let's face it: with the present quick, safe and easy to handle settings- & image-backup tools, there's no reason whatsoever to go the dangerous way aat all!

No the post can stay, rob was simply saying that the ViX image does not support multiboot due to the instabilities such a setup brings into the image etc. your tutorial may help people with the BH image but we cant support any user who operates a ViX image in a multiboot setup.

Absolutely no need: people are free to use. try and experiment as they feel up to. As long as they don't ask us for help, that is.
