WiFi dongle

Hi when i bought this max receiver there is a wi fi dongle with it to connect to the internet i have tried to use it but failed to connect would it be possible for you guys to help me connect useing this dongle i really hope you can help cheers take care

OK, but 1st we need to know what router you are using and what encryption :thumbsup:
Does you see the wifi adapter in the settings? (menu/setup/system/network/device setup)

Hi I got Virgin media super hub and I cant see the WiFi adapter cheers

OK, plug it in the reboot the receiver afterwards.
Once its booted up see if its detected (menu/setup/system/network/device setup)

Hi yes it says lan connection and there is a green tick by it

De-select the lan and the select the wlan.

I gotta go out, if you don't get it sorted I'll do some screenshots later for you, you could do worse than try network wizard setup again :)

Goto adaptor setting (under menu/setup/system/network/device setup/wlan) and you will need to enter your encryption type and the key :)

I found my dongle to test this for you, and it works fine.
Do you have text-mode enabled (in R/C-setup)?

Im not near a receiver to check but look in Menu > Setup> System for the remote control setup page.

Well, that should be, but not what I suggested. Is there no option text-enable?
Maybe I'm mistaken; that might only apply to VU's.
