Cant access enigma2.world-of-satelitte.com from solo2

I cant download plugins from the menu. I cant seem to ping enigma2.world-of-satellite.com but I can ping its address.Looks like a dns issue but I dont know how to fix.
Im on a solo2 vix ver.3.0 678

I think I remember hat somerone else here had the same problem. His solution was to use a google DNS (8.8.8.8 ?!??).

Theres nothing wrong, you can not ping a sub directory on a server, enigma2.world-of-satellite.com is a sub directory. You can ping the IP or the main domain name. Pinging the IP has worked for you, so what exactly is your issue??

of course you can. This name is translated into an IP and the server behind this IP has to answer the ping.

When I change the dns to 8.8.8.8 it works for a while and then it stops again until i change the dns to something else like 8.8.4.4, also everytime the box is rebooted the dns reverts to the gateway of my modem

do you have DHCP activated on the box? If yes switch to static IP and DNS should be fixed.

Ok have now switched to static, I will keep an eye on it and see if it remains stable, Thanks
