ViX has a perfectly capable media player built rite into the image, there is no need to install another as it won't add further functionality. Also as pointed out many times AVI is not a format but a container that differs vastly depending on the source and software used to creat them in the first place. Try re encoding one or two with some thing like handbreak and see if that helps.

Hi mate

Have you tryed to reboot the receiver sometimes I find no audio on films I have on HDD but a reboot often clears the glitch.
