crash logs are by default located in /home/root/logs or you can send them in directly from within the logs manager in the image it self.

also try updating your image as he latest available is build 668.

I used the positioner quite a lot in all recent builds and had no problem.
So as we can't reproduce any problem, we really need your logs to be able to look into any problem.

Still rebooting, i have factory reset and reloaded new 668 checked its image running on system. i have put old box spiderbox9000 back on and all fine with that on multi sats. its saying software problem but factory reset and flash of uptodate image should install clean? Did have it working on 28e on simple and single sat but really need positioner to work for multisats
log below if it helps.

It crashes with every tuner configuration that i have tried (obviously only when set to use positioner) i have tried every permutation possible.

Hi Guys I have sorted out the reboot problem when going into Positioner Setup. In my wisdom of having half a days expereience with Vu solo2 :) i thought it would be clever to set the settings to Expert - Menu/setup/system/customise/setup mode
Positioner setup will only work if this is set to Simple.
Thanks to those who helped.

As far as we found out it's related to saying 'no' after leaving the positioner on the question if one wants to return to the previous channel.
And from then on opening the positioner will crash Enigma, untill a full reboot has been carried out.

Well i am now a very happy man as I have just finished full motor setup using usals (previously only ever used diseqc) and EVERYTHING is now working great as it should.
Thanks RvdD for looking into it for me anyway.

Hi - I've just got my Vu Solo2 today, but am getting the same reboot when trying to access positioner setup - I've tried setting the mode to Simple as suggested, but the reboot is still happening even with simple selected. I can get into Sat Finder, but not positioner setup - I can post the log if necessary. Version 3.0 build 668 Kernel 3.3.8. Is there anything else that I can try to fix this? :( Was really looking forward to getting this running this afternoon..

please help!

As rob says try a full reboot from the menu and try again.

Please update to build 678 and try again (in build 677 a bug sneaked in in this area).

I get a yellow shriek with "nothing to update"? (the box is connected to the internet)

So set your system to allow for 'unstable updates'.

Larry-G

you will need to set allow unstable ( untested ) updates to yes in Menu> Setup> System> software update ( may be online update as i cant remember the full exact name and i'm not near a receiver to check ).
