I'm having problems connecting to a shared folder hosted on my Mac.

I can connect to the share from other devices, so i'm certain there is not an issue with the share or the credentials I'm using.

In the Mounts editor, I'm using the following settings:
Mount using: FSTAB
Active: enable
Local Share name: Server
Mount type: CIFS share
Server IP: 192.168.0.19
Server share: /media
use as HDD replacement: no
Mount options: rw
Username: username
Password: password

And then in mount manager it shows a red x.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Are there logs I can check for a clue?

Thanks in advance.

i assume you mac's ip is 192.168.0.19 and you have the folder name /media, i don't think mac have this folder. are you trying to mount the STB on your mac or a folder on your ac on STB ?

if the former, just click on the share in your sidebar.

Hi Andy,

Yes, the Mac's IP is 192.168.0.19 and the folder i'm sharing is called "media". I can connect to the share from other computers using cifs://192.168.0.19/media.

I'm trying to mount the Mac share on the VU+.

As a test I created a share on a Windows 7 computer, and it mounted with no problems. Just that the share I want to use doesn't exist on the Windows machine :/
