I am trying to install .ipk files from usb stick. Using OpenVix latest ver.
Problem is Vix crashing when trying to mount the usb stick.
Vix - Mount manager - recognizes usb stick as /dev/sda1 Mount:none
Pressing Mount button (purple) gives:Mount failed.
Pressing green button:Setup mounts shows usb as /dev/sda1
When pressing Save (green button) shows: Updating mount locations for just a second
and then :crash

Hints anyone?

What typy of ipk are you trying to install?
you install ipk by using DCC- ftp the ipk file into temp/
press menu on you remote control then vix, you will manually install/ press ok.
you are done

you should not need to mount the USB stick.

just place the .ipk ( mips32el ) onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick and insert it into the USB port while watching live TV ( make sure no menu's are open ), you should then be presented with a yes / no popup box.
