Hi guys.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing an app around somewhere for the iphone which allowed you to control a dreambox through the webif with the iphone.

I was just wondering whether there were any similar apps available for android phones?! I haven't found anything from my (brief) search, but really hoping that there's something available to do this...

Doubt it'd be vu duo specific, but as long as it was e2 specific, would be great...

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Many thanks :)

There is an Android app called Enigmanoid which is supposed to let you control the box from anywhere. I installed it a few days ago but havent got to try it yet, as im still working my way through setting up the box how i want (only just got my VU+ and new to Enigma).

I am currently using the free version (must get round to getting the full version:o) of Enigmanoid on my X10 mini and it works great, the web interface also works but no streaming but that is my version of Android that wont allow it, I also particularly like the Sat Finder feature for tweaking the dish whilst up the ladder. Its also very easy to set up and use Enigmanoid.

Cheers for that. Didn't think to look there, lol...

Maxwell, what's the difference between the free and full version of the app then? How much'd it cost to buy it?

Grt, not got around to getting the phone yet... Ordered it, but bloody htc have delayed the phone (desire z), because it failed google testing apparantly... Hopefully have it by the end of the month... Was just getting ready for all the apps I want to use on it :) hehe

Just downloaded dreamdroid which is free - not as many features as Enigmanoid but very good all the same and the things that are disabled in the free version of Enigmanoid are present and working

No, there is no version of enigmanoid for the iphone... The name suggests that enigmanoid is for the android...

There is an app for the iphone that does similar things from what I remember reading, but cannot remember the name for it...

[Edit]
After a quick search, just found out that the iphone version is called iDreamRemote...

Name=Vu Duo (but can be anything you want)
Host = IP address of your box. for example 192.168.0.3
User = root (may not be needed)
Password is only required if you have set one up
Enigma2 = yes
