View Full Version : How to restore / flash a image in ViX 3.0 without a USB stick ( all receivers )

The following aims to show you in a easy to follow tutorial, how to reflash the image on your receiver from within the ViX image, without the need of a USB stick.


This method works for all receivers currently supported by the ViX image team that already have the ViX3.0-668 or higher image on them.


This method of flashing or restoring a image will work with any image from any team, it will work with personal backups and virgin untouched images alike.

This is what we call 'sofa' or 'couch' flashing: you can do it all from the sofa with only the R/C in one hand and a beer in the other.

That plugin will be on the feeds fir the VU's after next build.
Only thing is you download zipped-images.

your plugin is very handy to have but at the moment we cant use compressed or zipped images in the image manager, andy is currently looking into that.

hi guys i am trying to get this to work on my tm2t but it keeps telling me that the image is not compatible?

i cant say at the mo mate, my box is doing an update, its the only one i could see if thats any help.

forgot to say i am trying method 1 in the tut.

another amazing guide from Pheonix!! this is alot easier than the USB method
