I've just migrated from a Dreambox 7000 to a VU+ solo, running Black Hole latest version in flash.
I want to use a custom satellites.xml file to cut down on the number of satellites and transponders I know don't work. I've downloaded such a file from satellites-xml.org, and ftp'd it into /etc/enigma2. Restarted Enigma. Actually I've tried every way of restarting the box including power down.
When I next go to do a manual scan, the box still seems to be seeing the original transponder list - ie all the satellites, and all the transponders from the original list. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to do something specific to get it to recognise the satellites.xml file in the /etc/enigma2 folder over the default one in /etc/tuxbox?
Sorry if this is a newbie question, but it's got me stumped!
