View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] Wireless dongle not working on Vix 3.0.665

I updated from Vix 3.0.656 to 3.0.665 and my USB wireless dongle (rt2800usb) is no longer working, it's not even detected. Is this a known problem?

I've gone back to the slightly older image to get wifi back as it's worked perfectly fine prior to build 665. Have the rt2800usb drivers been removed from the new image/kernel?

No, it's this one, Ralink 5370 chipset detected as rt2800usb in Vix 658:

It worked just fine prior to build 3.0.665 like 658.

mine is the VU+ (on my VU+ Solo2)and that doesn't work either. am i missing something all setting are correct i thought i will buy their own wireless dongle bung it in away i go...NO keeps saying no internet and it's not coupling up to my wireless network. do i have to switch something on in settings? to get it to start up. box recognises it's there.

Sorted thanks ...someone told me to swap between wap and wap2 and eventually it would work and it did first time...thanks darren28

Use the settings that says 'wpa or wpa2'.

rt2800 is no longer preinstalled, you will need to install driver from feeds.

All sorted now guys thanks once i changed the wpa from wpa2 all was good
