See this post http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?24566-New-ViX-Team-VU-Solo2-OE3-0-Release&p=213511#post213511

You can save your bouquets to yur PC using Dreamset/Dreamboxedit though.

As far as i am aware.. a fresh flash is not needed for the new 665..

Just do an online update.. and nothing will change..

658 to 665 on the solo 2 needs a fresh flash I believe as it has a new kernel

Or was it 656 and below that needed a fresh flash?

not needed but is recommended, so far online updates of the solo2 to a build with the new kernel haven't produced any issues that I'm aware of.

Sorry judge that's what I meant to say its recommended ( half asleep) :)

For the sake of 10 mins setting everything up from scratch, may as well do a flash just to be on the safe side

The most easy way is:
1- do an online update to the latest build;
2- make a settings backup via the backupmanager;
3- flash the box with the latest image and use the settings restore during the First Install Wizard using this latest settings backup.

This way you have a freshly flashed box with all your previous settings and plugins (i.e. up & running within 10 minutes).

Many thanks for all your replies. I like this solution.
