How do i set up to stream from my mac to solo2

I have vlc on both, is this the best way?
If so how to i get them to talk

Or is there a way of installing openwebf to the mac and going that way

you only need vlc on the mac.
then, using your internet browser, put in the IP of the box & you will see OpenWebif.
You can stream from there.

thats great, i enter the ip address and OpenWebif opens

I click on the little TV and it opens in itunes

How to i get it to open in a viewer?


Also in reverse i want to stream a movie from my mac to the solo2

Not sure how you change file associations on a mac these days, maybe just use VLC to open the downloaded m3u file & it'll set it for you?

To stream from the mac to the solo, Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> AFP Setup
