Hi,

I tried to install this plugin, and now wish to remove it. I have removed it via the plugins menu but it is still resident in the plugins menu. Is there any way to remove it completely ?

I tried that but it is still there - not installed but still there

As FE does very complicated things with your flash I'm not sure if it is possible to de-install it properly.
But as you always make a (settings) backup before experimenting with your box, a flash will bring your box back in the desired state in a matter of minutes.
