Hi Guys,

I have a Duo downstairs working fine on both tuners. I have a TM800 upstairs however there is no sat cable to the room it's in and is not cost effective to run a cable.
Is it possible to 'share' or stream the signal via ethernet from the Duo to the TM800?

Thanks in advance

There is a plugin in the feeds called remote channel stream convert, this will pretty much do exactly what you want but I believe it only works between pli based images. So im not sure if it would work on the technomate.

Thanks phoenix, works a treat on the TM800. Not too sure about the steam from the fan ;)

When I look at the remote bouquets I see a list of transponder info, is there a way to get the 800 to display the channel name please?

Every time I have used this plugin it has streamed every thing perfectly inuding the channel name and EPG data etc, if your not seeing this it may be because if the image on the technomate.

What Image are you running?

What Image are you running?

ViX on all of my receivers, although any pli based image should also work. I don't believe there ever was a pli image for the TM800 series due to the CPU it used.

This should do for what you need.

IQ/UR images for the TM800 were built on openpli.

Have installed VIX on my VU+Duo - now I know why you run it on all your boxes! ;)

Filled the above instructions and have been trying for a couple of days to install VIX on my technomate TM800HD which just carries on booting as normal when the USB stick is plugged in to either the rear or front USB ports.

Have tried booting to mini root which says no file.....

Have tried fat, fat32 and OS X file systems on the USB stick.

Any ideas please?

There is no ViX image for the TM800 as it's not a broadcom based receiver, we only support receivers based on the Broadcom CPU.

I am trying a similar setup :

ET9000 as the server, TM800HD upstairs where there's no cable connection but a power-LAN.

I googled and found enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel.ipk
I ftped it to my TM800HD tmp folder
Now when I try to install the package, I get the following message :

TM800@/tmp]# ipkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-remotestreamconvert_2.0\+git
3\+4656143-r0_mipsel.ipk
Installing enigma2-plugin-extensions-remotestreamconvert (2.0+git3+4656143-r0) to root...
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 1.
Collected errors:
ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enigma2-plugin-extensions-remotestreamconvert:
python-shell

Any ideas how I can fix it ? Oh btw, I'm using the TM800-iQ-28/11/11 image.

The thread is about sharing a tuner. Mgcamd is not involved in process.

You should be able to download all cams to read your card in the plugins section of the TM800.

That's exactly what I want to do..ET9000 is a twin-tuner...I want to send the stream to TM800 because there is no satellite cable wiring going to the TM800..only LAN.
So if I could stream from ET9000 to TM800 over LAN I'll be a happy camper !! :)
